Studying Law is considered to be the gate through which the Law student gets into the world of knowledge for other sciences. This is because the community is in actual need to organize its daily life in accordance with the regulations and laws of life, therefore, it draws the attention of many universities as it plays the unique role of punishment without which the jungle order would dominate.
To establish a solid system, which guarantees the general aspects of life, the Law should be studied.
The law represents three areas: history, reality, and the legislative science ,which stands alone interactively and integrative to get in as it has justice in depth and connotation in expressions and actions in both theory and practice.

Degree awarded:

The study follows the semester system; each one is three months. The overall period is 10 semesters in 5 years after which the student is awarded the bachelor degree (honours) in law .This is a distinctive feature for the Law Department at Alsalama College.

Raise the values of justice, merit and professional honesty , as well as develop the society and the scientific research.


  1. To legally help in building well educated generation inside and outside Sudan.
  2. To prepare active and efficient legal cadres in carrying out the legal justice among the community.
  3. To create a highly distinctive educational environment.
  4. To develop the students' leadership and sportive abilities.
  5. To continuously and innovatively develop the syllabi on a par with the regional and international developments and according to the Higher Education directives.
  6. To be aware of the law principle and its effect on building sound legal culture.
  7. To make students aware of the different branches of law as well as the history of Islamic Jurisdiction (its essence, development, resources, doctrines, characteristics and objectives).
  8. To make students aware of the law concept and effect on building a sound justice – based community
  9. To facilitate understand the essence of jurisdiction and law in accordance with the basic legal principles.
  10. To explain the legislator's intention and to put the Islam's Laws into practice so as to enable diligent scholars find legal solutions to the newly emerging incidents based on the benefit and preference when they come in clash.
  11. To make students aware of the national legislations and link that with the regional and international ones.
  12. To put the theoretical side into practice in the rooting of different legislations.
  13. To develop the scientific research spirit in the students.
  14. To develop languages and being aware of the local culture, habits and customs.
  15. To enlighten students with the principles on which the legal knowledge is built, as well as understanding the past and present political regimes.
  16. To create a general awareness among students on how to draw comparison between different past and present government regimes in the field of modern technology.
  17. To help make students technologically computer-literate, as well as making them aware of the profession behaviour, the idea of criminal behaviour and punishment and its related criminal responsibility.
  18. To link the students with their country's history and develop the national spirit in them.
  19. To help organize relations and transactions among individuals in the light of the regulations and laws, as well as explaining the bases and regulations which govern the contractual relations as a source of legal commitments.
  20. To be aware of the development of contract, the general international law as its definition , development and its international organizations , as well as understanding the international regulations , their importance and relation with the national legislations.

Everyone has a career, and each career has its ruling ethics to influence others. In the field of justice, everybody longs to perform their job with virtue; therefore, the profession of law requires the following traits:

Career Opportunities:

The student is awarded the degree of bachelor of law(honors) to be qualified enough to compete for the law profession opportunities, which are judge, General Attorney, legal consultant, lawyer.
It is worth noting that we have established good links with law training bodies (judiciary, Ministry of justice and Lawyers' Union) as our student will have training at the third year.

Conditions of acceptance:

The requirement of the admission to B.Sc. (honors) Law is the pass in the following seven subjects:

  • English Language
  • Arabic Language
  • Religious Education
  • Basic Maths
  • Geography and Environmental Studies
  • History
  • Any of the (Islamic studies , advanced Arabic , commercial science , military science - or art and design)

Admission to Bachelor of Law for the course of scientific certificate the following:
