The IT Department will offer a practically-oriented curriculum that spans eight semesters. Main subject area includes Information Technology (IT), with special emphasis to Communication and proficiency in the English Language.
IT has high priority in modern society. IT has been incorporated into many areas to help create strong and competitive organizations. The aim of the B.Sc. in IT is to educate & train graduates with a solid base in the areas of IT and the applications of information technology.

The department offers Bachelors degree honor in Information Technology (IT) in four academic years (8 Semesters).

The objectives of the Information Technology program is to prepare the student so that after completing the program, the graduate will:

  1. Be working as a computing professional, utilizing the knowledge acquired in Information Technology program.
  2. Be engaged in the computing profession and be utilizing professional skills to make a positive impact on society.
  3. Have participated in further professional development, employing the learning skills taught in the Information Technology program.
  4. Team work skills.
  5. Have participated in scientific research.

Educational outcomes:

The program enables students to achieve, by the time of graduation:

  1. An ability to apply knowledge of computing and mathematics appropriate to the discipline.
  2. An ability to analyze a problem, and identify and define the computing requirements appropriate to its solution.
  3. An ability to design, implements, and evaluate a computer-based system, process, component, or program to meet desired needs .

  5. An ability to communicate effectively with a range of audiences.
  6. An ability to analyze the local and global impact of computing on individuals, organizations and society.

  8. An ability to use and apply current technical concepts and practices in the core information technologies.

Conditions of acceptance:

The acceptance is subjected to the terms of acceptance students of the General Public Administration according to conditions of acceptance B.Sc. Information Technology students in higher education institutions and foreign civil.

The requirement of the admission to B.Sc. (Honors) Information Technology is the pass in the following seven subjects:

  • Basic Maths
  • Geography and Environmental Studies
  • History
  • Any of the (Islamic studies , advanced Arabic , commercial science , military science - or art and design)

  • Any three of admission subjects

Admission to the Bachelor of Information Technology for Industrial Technical scientific of the following:

  • Any of three subjects (technical drawing, assets of industries, chemistry ,physics, geography and environmental studies)
